Without a doubt the crowning jewel of architect Antoni Gaudí's career is the Basilica of the Sagrada Família, a neo-gothic cathedral in the Eixample-Gràcia district of Barcelona. Gaudi devoted the last four decades of his life to the project (1883-1926) and it buried in its crypt. Depending on who you talk to the project is scheduled to be completed in 2025 or 2040 or....at a later date. When finished the central dome will tower 170 metres over the rest of the cathedral.

Another one of Antoni Gaudí's masterpieces, Parc Güell, is a garden-city located on a hill, and is an enduring testament to Gaudí's imagination.
