The Shanghai World Financial Center rises from the Lujiazui financial district of Pudong, in Shanghai. Also known as the Mori Building, after the Japanese development company that is building it, the bottle-opener-shaped structure rises 101-stories (492m) and will house the Park Hyatt hotel.

The Peak (1810 feet) is accessed either by car, hiking, or taking the funicular train, the Peak Tram from its Garden Road terminus station. The Bank of China Tower, designed by world-renowned architect I.M Pei,  soars 305m (~1000 feet) over the Hong Kong skyline. Located at 1 Garden Road in the Central district of Hong Kong Island it held the title of tallest building in Hong Kong and Asia from 1989 to 1992. As the name suggests it is the headquarters of Bank of China's Hong Kong operations. Critics complain that the building does not have good feng-shui.
The Beijing National Aquatics Center (NAC), constructed for the 2008 Olympics. Designed by PTW Architects and engineered by ARUP the building is clad in ETFE (Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene), with inspiration for the form taken from soap bubbles in water.
